Had a bolt action 22lr rifle that someone had monkeyed with the sear. I closed the bolt on a live round and "bam".

Got a dent in my gun safe to prove it.

All goes back to "treat every gun as if it were loaded, and always point your gun in a safe direction."

NEVER give a monkey a Winchester.

That’s sad chit like that happens to folks.

I ride with a loaded 22 rifle in the passenger seat all the time. When something needs to visit Jesus I close the bolt and tear its ticket.

I don’t have a dog and load my own groceries though.
