Here is what they say about international students, families, and visa sponsorship

Pay close attention to the part where they say they follow closely govt rules, regs, and vetting processes, and also termination from the school

Now, I'm no tin foil hat wearer but I can clearly see where there is potential for conflict from a political and individual standpoint i.e. Opposing views

Oh so we Trust them to say "I'm not a terrorist Really". And then run the broken background check system, that Fails to Flag mentally ill people for gun purchases, OOOK seems like they should be safe to be our neighbors. NOT!
Funny how all these Terrorist's that complete an act of Terrorism were always being watched or on the list to begin with. And they still completed their act of Terror. Always remember "The Government will keep you safe", there's no need for you to own Gun's. The Government will provide all. Here have some more Koolaid to drink.

This is the problem - we have a government that sets up departments to keep us safe and then dozes off while these departments barely meet their objectives, and when non-performance is discovered nobody is held accountable or fired.

Recently Homeland Security ran some evaluations to measure TSA effectiveness with HS "passengers" boarding airplanes with mock bombs in luggage, weapons taped to their bodies, wired imitation explosive devices etc. etc. Results were that four of our biggest airports failed to catch 95% of the situations that were deemed to be dangerous and potentially fatal. The airports are Atlanta Hartsfield, JFK New York, San Francisco and Newark N.J. International.

Now, how secure do you feel about having a government department screen for potentially dangerous refugees?

I know it makes a lot of people/politicians feel warm and fuzzy about giving the less fortunate from around the world an opportunity to build a better life and I am no different, but we are not in a position to do that today economically or socially. We have literally thousands of vets who are homeless and millions of other Americans who want to work but can't find jobs. We need to take care of our own first, and then, when the economy can support more immigrants/refugees we need to be more selective and approve those that (a) want to become part of the American dream and (b) can make a contribution to that dream and not just be another drain on our social system. Until that day arrives we need to declare a moratorium on immigration in any form.
Just my 2c.
