Tauras PT145 What are your thoughts?

I'll differ from the above, but with an explanation:

I was 21 and ready to buy my first ever handgun. Knew what I wanted, G23, and was ready to go buy it. I get to the gun store and ask to see the Glock 23. The guy behind the counter grabs my wrist and tells me he has a better gun for me and hands me the PT145. This was a gen 1 version. I listen to him and let him talk me into the Taurus. It shot fine but it had a trigger pull that felt a mile long with a log of stacking just before the mushy, 11lb break of the trigger.

I've heard the new ones are better but that one left a bitter taste in my mouth.

My first pistol. Very good gun for the money. Of Course, i paid $275 OTD 8 years ago. Now i see them for $350-375. Never a problem with it. Guy i traded it to still has it with no issues.

Nice! I've always though about getting one but just never got around to it... Now I have an XDS Stainless 45 that I really like so getting one at this point wouldn't fit into my collection, still I like the way they look and feel in hand. Like new ruger SR line as well wouldn't mind having a SR9c and a G26, may get around to it other projects right now.

Congrats on the new addition!

One of the very few guns that I have had traders remorse over. I have Glocks, Smiths, Colts but for the money (maybe not now as they have gone up) it was great. A good shooting, great feeling little gun. Remorse!!!!!
