I'll differ from the above, but with an explanation:
I was 21 and ready to buy my first ever handgun. Knew what I wanted, G23, and was ready to go buy it. I get to the gun store and ask to see the Glock 23. The guy behind the counter grabs my wrist and tells me he has a better gun for me and hands me the PT145. This was a gen 1 version. I listen to him and let him talk me into the Taurus. It shot fine but it had a trigger pull that felt a mile long with a log of stacking just before the mushy, 11lb break of the trigger.
I've heard the new ones are better but that one left a bitter taste in my mouth.
