Long ago I owned a .38 Special Taurus revolver (snubby), worked perfectly for what is was and protected me and my young wife. Not made for thousands of rounds but I have no doubt if you entered my home and posed a threat you would die before I would. Later purchased a small 9mm auto (pocket sized) pistol. Picked it up from a friend and ran 500 rounds through it without a glitch and pretty much drilled a golf ball sized holed in every target out to 15 yards. Again served it's purpose and I was 100% comfortable with it. That's the extent of my experience.

Later I ran hundreds of thousands of rounds (a low estimate) through other manufacturers weapons so I am no "babe in the woods".

I guess we all have our own experiences.

Taurus makes good firearms and they make bad ones, they make good revolvers and the 92fs clone is pretty good. i tend ot shy away from most of their semi-autos

Anyone wanna buy a Taurus PT22?..Stainless with a holster $200.
Gauranteed to shoot..every 2,3,or maybe 4th pull of the trigger..but it WILL shoot..

For you Taurus lovers..here ya go(yes,im serious)..buy it and enjoy it for yourselves!!!

Sorry for your experience. BUT My new TCP is the best pocket pistol I've ever had. Runs without a hick up and more accurate than any other micro 380 I've shot.
I have not owned the Sig 380 or shot it for comparison, but I think I have pulled the trigger on about every other micro pistol out there.

Always have been _____, always will be. I learned my lesson in 92. Twice.

The Helwan was an Egyptian knockoff of the Beretta 1951, not the original.

Beretta made the first 50,000 for the Egyptians, then licensed production to Maadi. Not sure I'd call that "knockoffs" but whatever.

I've owned both of the ones you have had a problem with an I never had a problem with mine at all, I don't have a problem with a Taurus and probably never will.

this is not just my experience(s)alone..
"Google" is your friend..
Google Taurus TCP problems..or Taurus light striking trigger"...you will be "Enlightened" to a BIG issue with this company product problems
..
So to say..."I don't have a problem with Taurus(Good for you)..and probably never will"....I think you better stick with the "Good"ones you have...because the new ones they are producing a problem riddled..(and Dangerous)

"Google" Taurus TCP problems..pages.pages of people who have returned guns to Taurus and had them replaced and had the same problem(s)over/over again.

PTR bought the equipment to make the HK91 and call it the ptr 91 but its still not a HK. I am just weird like that bro. It has to be the original anything less is just less. That is just me though. Everyone elses millage may vary.

Hmm.. So you ever owned a 1911 that was NOT made by Colt? And we need to straighten out all the people buying NON-Glock, poly pistols...only the original...anything less is just less. ;)
And CZ never made ANYTING that wasn't a "knockoff" I don't b'lieve.
