tell me about your gun show experience

Purchased my first handgun at a gun show from a gentleman who was expanding his firearm business in the back of his auto parts store.
As his business grew I did not see him at the shows, but I purchased a few firearms at his business and referred many folks to him over the years.

The last gun show I attended was more like a flea market than the gun shows I attended as a young man.

Sounds like you're talking about Barrow Automotive

The people watching is phenomenal.

I enjoy them if I don't have to squeeze around a bunch of folks. I went to one a few years ago that was in a too small venue for the attendance it had. I really don't like bumping into folks and having to squeeze around them. I also try to get there not long after it starts as they seem far less crowded than even an hour later. Not just for guns either. I got my current wallet and a tshirt I wore slap out at a gun shop.

I too used to go to some in Greenville, SC as a youngster. Really good shows that we all enjoyed (family, friends, etc.) There was a really big gun show/wildlife expo in Columbia SC that I got to attend by accident. A couple of classmates and I were in a math competition and made it all the way to state-level. After the competition Dad said there was a wildlife show right down the street. I don't remember much about the math competition but loved the expo! A friend of ours won a turkey calling championship there two years in a row if I remember correctly.
