That square peg in a round hole comes to mind

I have to commend you on your wood working skills. I know a lot of things. I got board of jobs easily and went on to learn another skill. A few things I didn't do and can't do worth a hoot.. One is carpentry. Everything I try never ends up square always unbalanced and never correct. One of the other ones is growing grass. I couldn't grow green grass if I spray painted it. And the other is alternating current. Not that I can't do it but I'm deathly afraid of it. I had wet feet in the basement on a concrete floor and went to get my clothes out of the dryer and got locked onto that sucker. I was on there for a good 15 to 20 seconds or more until my father threw the breaker. Ever since then I've been really careful not to mess with it. I can do it but I'm scared of it.

Carpentry in woodworking in general is something I wish that I'd mastered when I was young. I used to build privacy fences and sheetrock houses in my high school years during the summer. My boss was hired to renovate low income houses so I learned a lot through that. Unfortunately woodworking was not one of them. I would love to do it but for some reason I just can't get it done. So congrats on a job well done. That's one of the things I can not do!
