At this point I give up on elected officials that currently hold office, their are just to many hands in the cookie jar. The way I am starting to see this is all politicians are like World Wrestling Federation, they will argue bicker in front of the camera's but in the end it is all fake and their allegiance is to expanding government without a single thought of helping the people in which they are put there to serve. So many people are fools and can not open their eyes wide enough to see this. We are now past a point of no return and we are sitting on 237 year old dynamite which is becoming more volatile by the day.

"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion; what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms." -- Thomas Jefferson to William S. Smith regarding the Shays Rebellion, 1787

I am in for almost anything, I have been trying to get people to stand up for the longest but they are all to scared to be labeled. Hell I am a vet, I am already considered a domestic terrorist. If you want a rally tell me when and where, I am here to do my part, I just ask others to do the same.

It does no good to get upset; there are a few factors working against us that I am sad to say we cannot overcome.
1) Congressmen and senators who are supposed to be looking out for their constituants, are too busy fighting with each other to see which party can stay in power. The result is the people's business does not get done.
2) We have a cartoon character for a president; no clue about foreign policy, economics, has serious issues telling the truth, and is still campaigning all over the US working to divide the have's against the have not's; or the tax payers against the 49-50% who pay no taxes whatsoever.
3) The president was able to influence the young, uneducated kids who are 18-21 by making student loans a political issue right before the election. This is important because this group of voters knows nothing about foreign policy, pays no taxes, and with no life experience, is easily swayed with lies and promises. The other thing this gullible group does not understand is we have enemies; how could anyone forget so quickly we were attacked on 9/11?
4) All we have heard for the past 5 years is the rich need to pay their fair share; well the President made a shade over 600K last year and paid 18.4%. Since the mainstream press and his young ignorant voters consider him to be omnipotent, no one will call BS when they see this contradiction; YOU need to do as I say and not as I do is his motto.
5) The president has 3 minority groups that he was able to combine with the uneducated youth; this makes a super majority that cannot be defeated.

I love America, but we have got to understand that we cannot defeat an ignorant liberal super majority that will run this country into the ground. I have had the luxury of being able to travel all over the world and I am getting ready to take my family, my taxes, and leave the US; I would encourage you guys to do the same. Think about it, this only works for the president as long as he can spend other peoples money. Since he and our idiotic politicians are perfectly fine with borrowing more from China, there is nothing that can be done except to take what you have left and leave; I see this ending very badly and would rather not stick around to see the slow death of America. Costa Rica is looking pretty damn good right now and since arguing with an idiot is a waste of time, maybe we need to take our patriotism and give it to another country that is more worthy of our love?

I see your point, Big H, but most of us don't have that luxury. I know that I live paycheck to paycheck but the Lord above has provided all I need (not necessarily all I want) so far. The way I see it, it's up to us to change this country back to what it used to be and could be again. We all know the three boxes of change (soap box, ballet box, cartridge box) and I see that we are somewhere between the 2nd and 3rd. I pray that this can be turned around legislatively without bloodshed, but we must remember that our forefathers were willing to lay life and liberty on the line for a way of life they saw as right and just. How are they any different than us? Oh yeah, they had the willingness to follow through. Some didn't make it through the struggle to see the final product of their efforts. I look and my kids and wonder what kind of country I am handing off to them. I pray that if the time ever does come, and I think it could and will in my lifetime, that I will be one to stand for what's right and do what is necessary to preserve liberty for generations to come. I think the 52% that put this moron back in power will be too lazy to fight, they only succeed now because of sheer numbers and a once in four year turnout to the ballot box. Divert their attention to something else every 4th november and we may already have half the battle won.

Thanks for taking the time to comment Smokey and I respect your position 100%. I would argue that our brave, brilliant, and patriotic forefathers were fighting a foreign entity; you are talking civil war. No one wins in a civil war and I would rather my son not be around when the music stops. I would also say that there is no amount of reasoning, debate, compromise, or brute force that will be capable of getting the unreasonable liberals to change their position; we have strayed too far from the principles of our founding fathers and I fear we have crossed the Rubicon.
