The 9mm Question: I Have ~ $350-$425 To Spend, What Are My Options?

Don't rush - get the gun you really want. SR9s are generally much cheaper than Glocks on the used market and they show up here from time to time. I've seen P95s for $250 more than once - they were never pricey to begin with...

Thank you for the advice, I'll keep shopping around with the websites and information everyone has given me until I can make a decision. I always find it interesting how on the internet you always think you're getting a good deal, but after the ammunition, fees, etc. you're really not coming out ahead if you'd of just walked into a shop or done business on the ODT.

Don't get me wrong, I have bought guns from Bud's and other online dealers. It was for ones I could not get locally - like my Springer Longslide and S&W 617. You rarely save any money on a common gun...

I like the suggestions made in previous posts. Me, I would hold out for a Glock. Also, I would not leave a gun in the glove box. I believe if you want to be protected, you should carry the gun on your person as much as possible. Did you plan on leaving the gun in your car while you go inside your residence unarmed? Just my opinion, and something to think about.

Avoid the Taurus anything, imo.

Go for the Glock 17 or 19. Magazines are high RIGHT NOW (and...might stay high. Maybe.) but at normal times, you can score Glock mags BRAND NEW Glock brand for ~$20 online, especially at GT Distributors. CDNN sells the Korean crap for cheap, too (or DID, before the shooting). I've not had good luck with the Korean mags, though, and I ONLY use them at the range, never as a carry option.

Check buds gun shop online, too, along with CDNN and the others you've seen.

I own a XD9 subcompact...It has Truglo night sights and trigger job..For the price it's a great gun. Comes with a 13 round & 16 round mag, not to mention other goodies.
shoot awesome too.

Personally, my favorite car & conceal carry is my M&P 9C
Shoots well & is trustworthy. Bought mine secondhand on here for about $375 & it included three mags & all the hand fittings (small, medium, & large).

Good luck with your search!
