Tough question. Most Iconic (widely known) Modern Day (past 20 Years) Rock song would be ... Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes -

Its used in sports stadium all over the world just like in the 80's and 90's it was We Will Rock You by Queen.

You mentioned the two I was thinking for the same reason.

Wow! There's a lotta songs on here that I never wanna hear again. Seriously, I got my fill of Boston and the Back in Black album WAY back when.
Got my fill of Boston first time I ever heard em. There is rock and roll with Chuck Berry as the Grand Daddy. The Stones elaborated on the basics and are The most iconic rock and roll band. Just look at the cataloged library of music. Johnny Winter, word to your mama, best rock and roll guitarist ever. Now, Pink Floyd? I love em, not rock and roll. AC DC? Hard Rock I guess. Iconic hits no doubt. Z Z Top. Coolest band and lots of rock and roll riffs. Mix a little stones with some ZZ and A.C. DC and you get Born to be Wild, Steppenwolf
