I don't get out much but everytime I do I'm shocked by the massive price increase in consumables.where u been brah?
Just bought 18 eggs at Walmart in Clayton today and paid $5.38 for them.At our Walmart 18 is $3.25 unless they went up since last week. That would not surprise me though.

I guess the fact that I don't shop much makes it that more blatant as opposed to people who do so on a regular basis.
To them it's incremental but to me who shops maybe one a month or so it's a cold slap in the face.
I'm just feeding my dog and myself these days so we're ok but I know young families who don't get government handouts have to be struggling in this environment.
That is the truth! I try to eat all good foods. I buy a couple bags of chips but I only eat maybe ten at a time and that is maybe once a week. Other than that I like tapioca pudding but I make that I on the stove and use Splenda. Other than that it's all healthy foods. I darn near cost me 300 a month in groceries. That's what we use to cost us for our entire family for the month. That was with two boys. It has gotten just plain out of hand. I can't see any relief in site!my wife always tells me eating healthy cost more![]()

...classic boomer though.I've been on a high protein meal plan for a few weeks now and eggs are a major source of my diet.
Bought eggs last week...$3:25 which I thought was high then.
Today... $4:95 and these aren't fancy free range or organically fed chicken eggs but just plain old store brand butt nuggets.
Up until now I've been kidding about being on the "Too poor to eat diet" but that joke doesn't seem so funny now.
