well you may be into some dragging as negan is STILL around and kicking in the comics. I honestly don't think he will go anywhere until very close to the comics end

The latest issue has one of the best scenes ever with Negan. Check it out. I thought Dwight was gonna brain him.

that's the big point. rick and negan in the comics start to get an almost batman and joker like feel where one needs the other to keep going. Also if the show were shot through a member of negans crews eyes instead then rick would be the total bad guy boogyman who sneaks in at night to kill you all.

And then gets owned like a little beyotch.
