THERE IS HOPE: Good Samaritan LEVELS a Would-Be Shoplifter, and It's Glorious

I can't believe the levels some people go to when the wife asks them to pick up the astroglide! Just walk up to the cashier with a huge grin when she rings it up, kind of like an icebreaker...

watched it happen today at academy. two young guys 16-17 years old. wearing back packs, stuffed them full of clothes.pointed it out to store employs, showed them the guys and the tags from merchandise.employs did nothing!! as i was leaving the two guys were going back in the store for round two. no wonder prices are high. i guess everything is free at academy even if someone is looking. sad

Base Ball Bats have more than one function....

Yeah, while it's satisfying to see a scumbag stopped from stealing something, by confronting him you're escalating the situation. You lay hands on him and he 'fears for his safety', you can end up with a knife in the gut, a screwdriver in the ear or 115 grains of lead in your spleen.

And the DA of the city will side with the shoplifter.

I agree that a society that permits people to just openly loot stores during daylight hours and for the public to have no recourse is a society that's in deep trouble, but there are very good reasons to not be "that have-a-go-hero" that the average joe would applaud.

At the very least, it can get you prosecuted for assault.
10 times out of 10, I will take my chances with losers like this…
