There's something wrong with the 'last post' date

As I've looked thru 'new posts' today I've seen a few threads that show a post today from the summary, but when I click into them, they have no updates from today. An example thread is:

From the summary this one shows: Last Post: Today 04:05 PM

Ok, I see. I've been using the site for over a year and have never noticed this before. I guess 99 times out of 100 it is a new post, not modification of the OP. Thanks!

Actually I don't think that's it, as far as I know editing a post doesn't change it's start time.

I believe what you are seeing is a relisted item using the new system:

Ok, I understand that but would it change the 'last post' time?
