I like your thought on thatI have NEVER voted for a SPLOST or any other tax. Anyone who does is a gullible bleeding heart ****ing retard. I don't get to go back and ask for more money from my employer when I run short. And I only have ONE revenue stream. How many do the city county and state have?
Just last night on WMAZ News I saw where there's a bill to allow cops to take DNA samples from people that were just arrested along with fingerprints and other personal info. The guy sponsoring it claims that it works both ways. As in not only will it help catch criminals of unsolved crimes but will also help free the innocent. And THAT was 110.5% BULL****! I can't recall how many articles I've read about wrongly convicted rapists and murderers ( especially in GA) that were proven to be innocent by DNA after years or decades of fighting the system. And damn near every time it happens the DA from the case/district will STILL block those guys from being released. Why? Because their trial record and egos are WAY more important than the pitiful pathetic actual victims.I'm all against anything that impedes on our privacy, plain and simple. It won't be long they'll have cameras in our toilets......
it's for your safety....Arguing for more restrictions, more penalties, more "law enforcement" (for malum prohibitum laws) makes you look like a ****ing retard boot lick.
So the legislature had a bill before them to boot the camera companies out of GA . But SUDDENLY they want to give them until July 2028. Why? Well let's just consider how many MORE MILLIONS will be made in those three years. And it's all because slimy lobbyists are in Atlanta throwing lots of money around to wherever or whoever it needs to get to.
Meanwhile in Macon/Bibb the ambulance chasing Mayor Lester Miller is trying to spin it in as positive of a way as possible. He's claiming how many more deputies and school resource officers they'll be able to hire with the EIGHT ****IN MILLION they've raked in from the cameras. One thing I can't stand is for politicians to stand there and tell us it's for safety and to "Think of the chirrun" when we know ******* well it was never about either one.
But the real insult to injury is the fact that the money they're spreading around in Atlanta is money they ****ing stole from US.
If the law was followed by the courts your wife could just show up in court and say "I wasn't driving".Lehtos Law on YouTube has an entire episode about a camera company in Clayton Co that issued tickets to drivers on Sundays and after 6:00 PM in the evening with not even the flashing lights. One recipient called and finally got a human on the phone. Said human claimed it was "a glitch" and not to worry about it. But it can NOT be a glitch when it happens enough to make an extra $500K that they weren't legally entitled to.
On top of that I for one am completely against a PRIVATE company or entity ENFORCING LAWS.
My wife got a ticket from a camera with a pic of the Kia Soul in it . You could clearly see the back of MY head. So she wasn't driving but THEY didn't give a ****. Now in the actual legal traffic law world you can't write a citation to someone that ain't even in the ****in car at the time of the offense. But somehow that's all fine good and legal when it comes to the city and county raking in MILLIONS from private companies that should NOT have the power to write anyone a ticket.
"Buster" Miller, mayor of Macongo, announced on Nextdoor recently that all you have to do is swear an affidavit attesting that you weren't the driver of the vehicle. Boom. Ticket dismissed. If the law was followed by the courts your wife could just show up in court and say "I wasn't driving".
They would, of course, ask her who was driving. The proper response then is: "I have no duty to help you in your investigation."
The judge would then be obligated to dismiss the case.
However, we live in a world where the Probate Court judge isn't even required to have a law degree in many counties. He's just some elected dufus who has power over us.
So instead, he would say: "well, I feel like you are either guilty or would help our hard working law enforcement officers, so pay the bailiff. If you don't like it you can always appeal to a real court."
And he knows that no appeals court would ever take on the case of a $50 ticket.
ALL traffic citations are simply taxes. Like any good tax it only affects a small percentage of people and costs enough to make you grumble, but not so much you try to fight it.
