i have heard alot of good things about them - but everytime for some reason i keep buying esee's - im sorry love them cant stay away from them - although i did buy a microtech - oh boy that made my wallet hurt - but love it aswell - there are so many cool knives out there - it can be as addicting as firearms - lol

I carry a Spyderco Pro Grip, love it for everyday use, wouldn't be my choice for defense, unless it was a last ditch effort.
If defense is your only reason to carry it, get a good fixed blade. I have a cold steel for that.

I have a lot of knives and until about 2 weeks ago I had never owned a Spyderco. I bought a Spyderco uk pen knife for a pocket knife and I absolutely love it. It is definately not for everyone, as it has a lot of drawbacks, but I love it. That being said for a EDC Defensive folder, I would look to ZT, Microtech, or Emerson. But there are a million others depending how much u want to spend.
So what did you end up with?
