Thinking about getting a COLT Single Action Army

Yep I was thinking of TB Boss, great guy. I only went to Cherokee Cowboys shoots 2 or 3 times. I lived in Smyrna at the time and shot mostly in Griffin. Dahlonega(I think they ended up at Riverbend Gun Club) was where I shot 2nd most often because the ex always wanted to spend the night and hit the outlet mall....

I really enjoyed the shoots in Dahlonega. Small group, so more shooting and less waiting. Also, they were all good folks.

I just ordered my first SAA pistol. Got a Tayler's & Co. Smoke Wagon short stroke model in .357 with a 5.5" barrel. Bought it with a Tayler tune already performed on the gun. I did a ton of research over the last few months and never came across anyone saying that you shouldn't get a .357 until I read this thread. Seems most say if you want to shoot cowboy action go with a 4.75" barrel in .45 long colt. If you want to shoot for fun get a .357 and shoot .38 special to save money on ammo and .357 magnum if you like the full power ammo. My gun is supposed to arrive tomorrow. Can't wait to get it in my hands.

So after a few weeks I think I have settled on the Colt SAA 45. However I want to look at a few and see the lockup on the cylinders. Does anyone know if their LGS stocks a Colt SAA? If so please refer me to their business. I have heard some SAAs have a slight play in them and if i can avoid that by looking at a few others and comparing then it would help me justify spending 2k on a pistol lol
