Is it necessary to get it looked at for timing? I haven't spent 2k on a single gun since I purchased my FN SCAR 17. 2000 is a lot for me to put up just to have to bring it to someone else to insure that it is timed right from factory. As a matter of fact, I will probably be putting this on layaway.
Thank you for the reference though! I'm glad I've got a name now to refer to instead of bringing it to just any gun smith. Does he specialize in SAAs?
Those are beautiful. Did SAAs come with those handles from factory? My eyes can't make out whether they are bone or ivory. I'd love to come shoot one but I've watched some videos last night. The recoil looks manageable with two hand shooting. I don't think I'll ever fire a 45 colt revolver one handed because if I lose hold of it there goes the finish haha on a nice collector's piece. Thank you kindly for the offer though.![]()
They are NRA commeratives mad in 1971. Came new-unturned in the presentation boxes. First thing I did was to have Joe time them. They have several thousand rounds and not a hint of ring on the cylinder. The grips are fake Ivory. And when I shoot cowboy I'm in the gunfighter class which is a gun in each hand. Recoil in managable.
