Dang Steve! That sucks man, I hope your surgery goes well and your recovery is as fast and painless as possible. I've got a titanium plate & seven big ol screws in my tibia from when I shattered the top of it & fractured it in two more places and snapped the fibula 2 1/2 years ago. Crap like that seems to hurt a lot worse after you've passed 50 years old.

Spent more than half my life in New Hampshire. Friday I sanded my front walkway which is all heavily shaded. Coming up the walkway, I must have missed the ice on the outer edge. Slipped, fell over, then fell over an embankment. Spent all night in the ER. Wrist broken in 3 or 4 places. I now need surgery and some appliance to hold it together. HAPPY 2018 to me!!

Wow, I hope you get better.

I feel ya. But u know. It could have been worst. U coyld have caught a corner and took one in the noggin. Rather than ER...u coulda been under a neurosurgeon openning u up to drain the pressure.

Lesson learned???? Hire someone for handyman services.
