Just hired a 14 year old kid to mow, trim, and edge my whole yard for 25 bucks. I was going to do it myself, but who am I to say no to a young guy with an entrepreneurial spirit?

When I had a house in a residential neighborhood I don't think I saw a kid cutting grass even once. It was strange. Glad it's not a universal phenomenon.

It’s much smaller than my last yard that’s for sure. It’s only 1/3 acre.

I don’t give a **** about having to mow the grass. It only takes 20 minutes. I was just excited to find a young man who is working hard trying to earn some cash.

I talked to him a little, this is his 2nd year in “business”. He actually is only 13. He said I am his 10th house in the neighborhood.

25 bucks a pop, you do the math. not bad for a 13 year old.

He came down the street pushing his mower, hauling a wagon behind with his string trimmer, edged, blower.

I was impressed. Did a damn good job too.
