I get confused sometimes on the issue of CC/OC. I read alot of posts where people say 'If everyone carried there wouldn't be as much crime, or criminals mainly target places they think there are no guns.' Then I read posts (alot) that people CC because they dont want everyone to know they have a weapon. (see my confussion) If everyone OC then that might make criminals think twice when they walk into a place and see a few guys/gals with guns. Sure the fight can be made that OC makes me a target, but if a guy comes in and a couple guys have a weapon then if I'm the target that means somebody else isn't. pluss that gives my fellow OC time to put down the bad guy. Not sure what to do now, do I OC or CC.He was also wearing an Obama/Biden t-shirt and wearing a rainbow Fanny pack.
Well said, my thoughts exactly.I guess I'm a douche too. I CC at 3 o'clock on my belt and sometimes, when I reach for something on the top shelf my shirt will ride up. Then once in a while when it comes back down it will catch behind the gun. Once or twice I've not noticed right away and a few minutes later actually noticed that my CC was OC. How embarrassing. It's comforting to know that so many of my fellow gun owners and second amendment supporters would see this and consider me a douche.
I sometimes wonder why I think very highly of this group after all.
Personally, I've walked up to people who were visibly carrying, shook their hand, introduced myself, complimented them on thier carry piece and mentioned the ODT to them. Now that I know they are all douches I may have to reconsider my attitude towards them.
Oh stop it, don't you need to go hunt down threads where people say "clip" or something? Besides, I don't see where he mentioned a permit. He referred to his weapon in your quoted post.

Seems that those who carry openly, or both openly or concealed, don't have much of a problem with how anyone else carries. Score one for tolerance.
Naww, I figured I would just have some fun pointing out an alternative view as dramatically as some tend to point out the evil guns being openly carriedMy, my...SOMEBODY kinda winds up tighter and tighter as they go don't they.![]()
