definitely not douche baggy if it happens on accident, It happens to me all the time. I'm talking about to people that OC with IWB holster with there shirt tucked all the way in intentionally.
You are only guilty of douche baggery if you have a big CCW badge on your belt 
Its a strange thing. I post on several message boards, but this one is unique in that we all share a common interest. But no other board that I'm a member on, are the members so quick to become, ummm, what's the correct word? Maybe unpleasent, towards each other. Is it due to the fact that we are usually under attack politically, that some of you become so combative (maybe defensive is a better word) so quickly?
Please explain ..... unpleasant/combative/defensive .... in what respect?
Ehhh, maybe I overstated it. It was the douche bag comment. I just didn't see it that way.
There was a guy pumping gas across from me at the Kroger in Newnan displaying a big ass 1911 on his hip in a nice leather holster. I don't like to let anyone know I'm carrying, especially with all the liberals out there just waiting to call 911 for anyone carrying or the curious little kids in Walmart that want to talk about it "is that reeAL ?".
Are you sure you aren't a liberal since you are so concerned with the guy pumping gas with his big ass 1911??

Tend to agree with ya on both counts. It does sound like he just was unaware of the open-ness, and I also would've just let it be. The gun I know about, is the gun I can deal with.
I'll take a stab at this as lightly as possible;
Those that object to open carry are certainly entitled to their opinion, which I stand behind 1000% percent!!! One of the best things about this country (and forums like these), is the freedom of speech and expression.
As for me, and not to get on a rant here, (but I will), I must admit that my boxers get in a bind when people try to tell me how I “should not be carrying that way”, or, begin a conversation with "You know, statistics show..." …. And please, do not tap me on the shoulder to let me know my legal firearm is exposed. Whether exposed or not, why do you care? Do you, as a law abiding citizen, want to teach me about firearms laws in the state of GA, or do you want to just exert your personal opinion?
Perhaps some folks have not been the unfortunate victims of a crime; perhaps I should take other people’s thoughts into mind and not be so rude….. that’s a thought.......I am known to be an a$$ most of the time, so that wouldn't be a big surprise.
Perhaps I shouldn’t just go "displaying" that Evil Black Gun in public…. Maybe I should just try to be like the common criminal (since they of course obey all of the laws), I should just tuck my evil black gun in my pants, where no one can see it, and when the time is right, I’ll yank it out and do my deed
<Oh crap, I see a dude over there carrying a gun on his Outer Waist Band, is that an evil black gun that could stop me from completing my criminal act in progress> hummm ????
This is where the true conundrum comes into play …. Is that OWB evil black gun now a target, or a deterrent……. my own hypothesis is: Lets say Mr. Gang banger wants to do harm and is about to commit a crime, Mr. Gang Banger sees Mr. OC with a Glock 10mm OWB on his side, sure, he won't know its a 10mm, and sure, he won’t know if I know how to use it, double tap, etc, etc ..... but does he know it's there?
Mr. Gang Banger must decide whether or not to start a scene where he could be noticed/identified/shot dead in his tracks………….. or, Mr. Gang Banger just leaves the area.
Yes, the person OC’ing could be the first target, but, considering all of the surrounding circumstances, what is more likely?
Sorry, I got off topic, let’s go back to the original post: Holy Crap, what are you thinking??!?!?! You could get one of those innocent women and children in an uproar over your exposed and LEGAL firearm, and they might dial 911…. Holy crap!
Let’s now go to the 911 call….. already in progress:
“Hello, 911?? …… Yes, I’ll hold ……………………………………. (three minutes later)......... Oh, ok, are you there? …. Yes, I would like to report a totally legitimate and normal person who is carrying a big black evil gun out for everyone to see on his hip .................. no, he is not waving it in the air................but, but, but, it's out in the open for everyone to see!!!! <Screaming ensues> AHHHHHH ……........ What? Is he doing something wrong??? , Well......., yes.........., he is carrying his big evil black gun out in public for everyone to see ..........<Screaming more> AHHHHHH, My children almost died!! .......
Part 2, some moments later......
AHHHHHHH <Screaming continues> ...... To make matters worse, I think there are some thugs who are about to hold up this store……… Wait, I think they see it too ………. Wait a minute …. They are walking away now ……… oh, sorry to bother you ….. They are walking away now and are leaving the store ........ seems like that big lack gun being openly carried by that civilian scared the crap out of them....... You should still arrest him because my kids were in danger <AHHHHHHH>.....
I speculate, of course, but perhaps one version of a possible occurrence ….. again, just a thought!
The debate about “OC VS CC” will go on and on. No doubt about that, but with all of the above said, will you now consider another side of the thought process ….... I bet you will.
