Thoughts on BMW Cars...

And it's not like buying a used vehicle is helping the original manufacturer. The individual you buy from probably didn't get any of the bailout.

Parts and service still benefit GM. GM - the union supporting, bailout taking, Obama loving, makes pieces of **** company. If GM is so great and BMW sucks so bad, why is GM going bankrupt and BMW isn't asking for **** from any government? Oh, because GM produces nothing but worthless piles of dog ****.

Ya my main goal is to find a model thats mostly easy to maintain, reliable and doesn't have a ton of known bugs. My honda has 264k miles on it and I just can't justify putting any more money in something that old. I'd rather put it towards a newer looking vehicle that won't make the girls frown. Heck, my neighbors won't even wave at me when I drive through the neighborhood.

Sounds like you want to impress your neighbors and the ladies

The absolute best way to make people think you spent a fortune on a car is with a used corvette

They depreciate faster than a BMW

Its a running joke in my family that I live in a nice neighborhood and no one will wave at me. A joke.

ha, we got neighbors like that,

I see em out and wave and they will turn their back and pretend they didnt see me so they dont have to wave back

but seriously, look at the 8-10-12 yr old corvettes
$18K down to $8K
They always look like a million bucks

they depreciate rapidly , less you need a back seat, then look at the GTOs if you want a manual trans or the G-8 if you want an automatic, maybe the G-8 came with a manual, I dont remember.

either of the Pontiacs will hold their value pretty good, since they have a cult like following
But they look like a plain Chevy Cavilier

Everyone will be way more impressed with the vettte

My brother has has several vettes
He always took his dates out in his old Toyota though
He didn't want the chicks to think he had money

He told em the vette belonged to his roommate who traveled alot

The vettes weren't fast enough though
So he built a V-8 Fiero

Sold my '79 Vette. Bought '88 Fiero. Dropped in 3.8L V6 and supercharged it. 300 rwhp in a 2400 lb car....yeah I'll embarrass a vette if you give me the chance.
yep. His is an 88 GT fastback
Took out the 2.8 V-6. Dropped in a aluminum block 4.9 Cadillac V-8
Double the power . Weighs less than the iron block V-6
