He’s facing felony charges for making threats on his Instagram. I honestly can’t decide (In the last two minutes) if this is nanny state overreach or the guy should be locked up.

How is this overreach? If you are thinking this is somehow freedom of speech/expression then you need to know that all of our constitutional rights are limited by the government. You cannot use your freedom of speech/expression to incite a riot, yell "fire" in a movie theater or threaten people...etc...etc...

Valid point. I confess that I wasn’t actually thinking about the freedom of speech aspect at all. I was primarily thinking about whether the state should waste time and money on this guy by prosecuting him solely for a vague social media post, and whether prosecuting him had long term ramifications regarding the interpretation of intent.

he made criminal threats online last year by posting an image of a shotgun and a reference to Harvard-Westlake, where he went to high school.
