Threaded barrel for TRP operator

I ordered a Jarvis threaded drop in barrel for a Springfield Armory 1911 Full Size (5" barrel), 45ACP, Wilson/Nowlin, Bushing Style..... Works fine.

I'm sure it works fine if it fits. The problem is, the barrel that was not matched to the bushing will wear the bushing differently than the factory barrel. The barrels aren't the exact same dimensions.

This means lock up will not be as good, which is the primary factor in a precise 1911. You might not care with a $500 1911. I would care with a TRP, Les Baer, Wilson, et cetera. That's why I only shoot the factory barrel in my Baer.

If I pay for precision, I want to keep it that way. It's personal preference though.

It's a TRP homie, not a freakin Wilson or Nighthawk, LMAO!

You may regret that.... I personally wouldn't go the route, I suggest spending a little extra money and buying the Jarvis.
From the looks of it it would appear to be much the same as the Jarvis. I'm probably going to end up swapping with my buddy and then continuing to research the barrel issue. Biggest question I had was whether or not a threaded setup was feasible, and I now have my answer there.
