When I was a punk arse kid (16 ) I thought I'd see how fast my roadrunner would go, 69 with a 383 and a 4spd. Deserted piece of highway in rural Maine, 2 AM, feeling safe because we had no police dept in our town. The sheriff in Oxford was 45 minutes away. What could go wrong ? Hahaha the 2 State Troopers sitting at the Fairground entrance , for some reason they were in town that night. The trooper later told my dad he clocked me at 137 .. windshield wipers were standing straight up, so I musta been moving.. lost my license for 120 days.. 90 from the state, another 30 from my dad..

The way it was described in the article and the recorded speed falling off on the radar as the cops clocked him, it sounds like he saw the cops, knew he was busted, and just went ahead and pulled on over

Last time I got pulled for speeding was in a new Roush Ford pickup.
I got on it leaving a light to see what it would do (on the 85N access rd one way with no side street traffic so no one can pull out in front of you) topped a little rise at 80+ in a 45 zone and saw the motorcycle cop on the right shoulder standing there with the radar gun pointed at me. I immediately hit the brakes and pulled onto the shoulder right in front of the bike where he was pointing. The fact that he didn't even have to saddle up must have helped, because I got off with a license and insurance check and a verbal warning that 85+ was too fast for that stretch of road.

That was your lucky day!

Man this guy was rolling on out in his Camaro in Duluth Minnesota.

That is crazy! I leave seat nipples at 120 mph. Hell, if it was me. it would have been a "put him under the jail. never to see daylight again" The unidentified woman he was with. must have been HAAWWWT!

Yeah... that's because if it was like my experience. It went from young love in a 67' RS Camaro convertible (very true). To 2 kids and a mini-van....sigh

Fastest I've gone is about 130 in my car and only about 140 on my bike. I don't even think my bike goes pass 150
