Tired of BS with Verizon

verizon is expensive in my opinion...when i fired them i got straight talk with unlimited talk/text/web and what i paid for the phone (a blackberry clone) was similar to an upgrade at verizon.the difference i see? $45 for straight talk vs. $120 for verizon....ymmv

it all boils down to poor customer service employees. they act like they are doing you a favor. i guess they don't realize it should be their job to help resolve any problems a customer presents. few places take the customers seriously any more.

This all the way. Once you give me one little bit of bad customer service... I take my money elsewhere.

I came from Sprint to Verizon..well ran SCREAMING from Sprint actually. Overall I LOVE my verizon. I have a few complaints: can't use a wifi phone without buying broadband package, they block phone features so you have to buy the same feature(ring tones for one). Mostly though the customer service is great. Had one nightmare that lasted about 6 months and illustraets why I NEVER allow a company to direct debit my checking account.

Hit our "New in 2" and ordered 3 phones, one for each line. Decided not to activate one. 2 months later I got a $500 bill for the new phone. Called and was told it was because I didn't renew contract so was billed for phone. WTF? You have to activate the phone to accept the contract. Crap! So they said I could go to store, sign new contract renewal and it would be fine. I did. Still got billed. Called in, no contract arrived at corporate. Called store, they lost it. Had one mailed from corp, signed it, still got billed. Had another mailed, signed it, FINALLY got the bill right. These bills come once a month so we are about 5 months from the arrival of the phone now. Then they credit the $500 to my account...finally we are all good. next month, I got ANOTHER credit! ARGH!!!! I call them and tell them to take the extra credit off before they tried to double bill me again. Finally 7 months after the phone came I got my bill right. Oh and you have to sign in and wait to be called for service at the store. The store can kiss my a$$. They have pathetic service and know NOTHING.

Price isn't so bad for my service: $125/month for 3 phones, 700 shared minutes peak, unlimited off-peak, weekend and mobil-to-mobil and unlimted text for my son. No data. Oh, and BEST coverage I have ever had. Maybe twice I've had no coverage, dropped less than 10 calls in 4-5 years and travelled from Tennessee to Florida with them without issue.

Im thinking about going to Verizon from ATT, I have not had any issues, a few dropped calls in areas but no big deal. I have a " non- corporate" store near me and they are awesome. If i have an issue or wanna upgrade they are very helpful. I will not go to my corporate store, everybody in there is "too cool" for me.. My issue with ATT is that new tier data billing they got now. Irritates the piss out of me when I get billed another 15.00 when I only have 1 or 2 days left im my billing cycle per phone. My bro-n-law has 4g droid and his is so much faster than my icrap. I feel I should'nt have to worry about any overages when my bill for 3 lines comes in at around 230.00/month.
