"TITAN" Documentary on Netflix

GF is an engineer at a carbon fiber air/space manufacturer so I'm keen to ask her opinions on Stockton's (and Oceangate's) "culture" and how that likely caused the failure.
Reckless is what I read. Ignoring lots of more mainstream scientists and engineers that warned about carbon fiber fatigue...

Also a lack of backup to the video game controller. They had an episode with a journalist that had to abort the full dive and be pulled to the surface and then wait to be unbolted to get out after the oxygen scrubbers and controls stopped working.

Lots also pointed out the carbon fiber and titanium compress at different rates and would provide a potential fail point.

The acoustic warning monitoring systems they IGNORED floor me. I'm in a vessel under pressure and I hear loud popping noises? Take me to the damned surface NOW! LOL.

That right there... being bolted in from the outside... would have been what I'd call "a clue" to the whole thing being a REALLY BAD IDEA.
