To the guy I seen at Best Buy in Warner Robins tonight:

A real badass open carries a NAA .22 Mini Revolver.

I OCed the wife's LCP a couple times. Doubt anyone even noticed it, lol.

I also saw a very cute female OCer at GFl one time...with her P238...now that was adorable :thumb:

Ok, I'm gonna have to see some hard evidence to believe that "hundreds of open carriers are getting slaughtered every day by bad guys shooting them first in robberies". I would also like to know how many open carriers have PREVENTED a robbery? It's kinda hard to prove that one but IMHO this statistic would greatly outnumber the few "slaughters" of oc's.
i mean, really , think about it? Why do so many gun store, pawn or convenience store owners open carry?
And o.c. provokes robberies or violence ? I don't buy that...I think most robbers are cowards at heart and will always prey on the weakest, not someone carrying a gun.
I have always c.c but I am starting to rethink that position in light of today's political situation. I'm starting to think that if all responsible gun owners began an o.c. policy in response to overt threats by our government to restrict our gun rights it might get people's attention.

We have meekly allowed our govt to take many of our rights...perhaps it's time to loudly and belligerently demand them back.

So.....I propose January 2013 as "Open Carry Month"... Maybe while our spineless legislators are debating a registration/confiscation bill and taking more of our second amendments rights it would be best for them to see exactly who and what they are up against?

It would make me smile to walk down the street and see fellow Americans open carrying their weapons...and it would really make me chuckle to see the handwringing media go nuts over it!!!

Hiding our guns via c.c. almost feels like we are ashamed to carry them doesn't it?

Wow...time to take your sarcasm detector in for service...

OC was common enough in Alaska that no one was concerned about it. .....and it was a significant deterrent to bad behavior, whenever there were MULTIPLE people OCing in an establishment. I also OCed a M1911 when I was living in downtown Seattle and did not get bothered even late at night. Funny how works out.

Here is a scene from the height of fishing fever, when bank fishing for salmon in Alaska, and someone decides another has knocked his fish off the line:

Two guys OC: Grumble, grumble, both separate to fish a little further apart.
One guy OC: Grumble, grumble, unarmed guy moves to fish further away.
Neither OC: Cuss, *****, macho posing....regularly ends in a fist fight.

I think that de-sensitizing the general public to guns by reputable, honest citizens using OC has merit.

Better idea. OC Flash (peaceful) mob, just name the place.

I see a lot of open carry in Ga. Ive lived all over and other than a few visits to TX i think its pretty common to see here more than anywhere else. Another reason I love this state!

that's a big revolver to carry, i'm very impressed

i only open carry on hot days otherwise i wear a short sleeve overshirt or a coat, iwb holsters just are not comfortable

I have never seen anyone open carry a Judge. Thats great. :thumb:

I normally open carry a full size Witness 10mm. I have a custom IWB holster that hides a good portion but still very visible. I have recently purchased a RIA .45 compact for concealed carry and for those places that say you can't carry in their stores. The only issue I have ever had was at Walmart and it was from a customer. The employees didn't seem to care when she went around pointing me out to all of them.
