Toyota engines...

I change the oil and filter on my 2002 4.7L Tundra every 5,000 miles.
I replaced the original valve cover gaskets @ 187,000 miles... look how clean it is.

You'll have to take this "well maintained and last forever" nonsense somewhere else. This thread is about neglect, abuse, and destruction... J/K

Your 2UZ is almost as clean as 3RZ/ 2.7L in my 1998 Tacoma with 270k.

Two more from January and February.

GX 470- Was not aware you could break those "made in Japan" engines....

My ex wife still has our old 460, tranny issues at 225k, no fluid swap or filter replacement in 13 years.....

Bit of maintenance will go long ways...

There's no engine that'll stay together when repeatedly pushed past it's limitations.
Had to go dig this one back out for pic. 3UR/ 5.7L with 6.0L stroker kit installed for forced induction. Machine shop work and assembly was done by Mickey mouse. ARP stud kits would have held together if they were properly torqued.
