I've always enjoyed shooting but never had time to get really proficient at it.
After I became mostly homebound I finally had that time.
I shot something almost everyday rain or shine for 2 1/2 years until encroaching "civilization" forced me to shut down the home range. I still shoot when I can but with nowhere near the skill I had with daily practice.
Practice really does make a difference and shooting is very much a perishable skill. There is a difference between shooting adequately and shooting well and shooting well is much more satisfying.

I choose not to train or shoot my weapons AT ALL, that way when the SHTF I'm just as surprised as the person I'm shooting at! I love the excitement!
