The Chattooga river can be really tough in the heat of the summer. Hiking long distances and finding feeder creeks and tributaries can help you find some fish too. Those areas usually have a little bit cooler water and more oxygen.
Tough to catch the wild trout there. Warwoman is stocked and great place for a quick trout fix if Chattooga isnt going well. Was up there couple of weekend ago and had limit in an hour. Always found the Chattoga more of a challenge but have landed a few nice fish there.
