Truck Market crashing?

I guess it won't be long till we start seeing $10k off. Sounds like they had them marked up way too high to begin with

the "buy down" so to speak of the credit score is a slap in the face of those who have worked hard to obtain a higher score
I had a finance man at Macon Mitsubishi back in 04/05 who would ALWAYS start out running your deal through the secondary finance companies no matter what. See those banks/lenders had this under the table deal going with him that went something like " Send us say 10 primary (good credit) customers a month and we will approve 20 or so bad credit customers." And their rate for the good credit customers was usually close to the same rate as the bad . Of course this would piss off a lot of folks but he tried it anyway. It's like asking every chick at the bar to go home with you. Not to mention the cash the lenders were lining his pockets with.
Last new car I sold in 2012 was at Jeff Smith Kia . I sold a Sorrento to my landlord's wife. I even took the car to them at home so they could avoid the typical car lot bull****. They bank with Robins Fed Credit Union and Robins has been hard to beat on new car loan rates for many years. When I told that finance man about them going with Robins he got all sideways and said some **** like "How bout you let ME do my job?" I just laughed and said " Okay but I DID let you know." So then they showed up and I walk them in the side door to avoid the vultures straight to the finance office. Not ten minutes later they came walking out with smartass following them talking real fast and apologetic like. They were heading for their Navigator after he pissed them off and ran the deal through Kia and probably Bank of America. I wasn't making anything off the deal so I didn't care it was funny to ME.
Point is the two biggest crooks at any new/used lot are the Finance Man and the Head Service Writer. Most finance men I've been around were all guilty of several types of financial crimes/fraud. Some had been caught (more than once) and some were waiting to get caught. Anyway I will NEVER work in that industry again. Gave all my car salesman clothes to an animal rescue thrift store years ago.

I don't think the truck market is crashing. Everything is still crazy high! Maybe I'm just a tightwad and these prices I see are the new normal. An f150 you can drop over 100k, that's madness. The price is there, but the quality isn't there for 100k.
Yeah I agree. I'm seeing way too many recalls across the board brand wise and major failures in very new models.
Now imagine Pauly Walnuts looking at you real serious like and saying " This **** is unacceptable!"

I always said to buy a new vehicle was temporary insanity......And I've bought my share of new ones. It's OK if you keep them a long time. Last new vehicle I bought was 21yrs ago and I'm still driving it. Since the 70s I knew this day would come. It took longer than I thought.

"15 bucks an hour"?

Those are union jobs in this country. More than $15 just for the union overhead!
Yeah UAW people wouldn't get out of bed in the morning for $15.00 an hour. They make close to that when they're laid off. Seriously when they get laid off they STILL get half their pay AND unemployment as long as they show up to the designated spot a few days a week where they can drink free coffee play cards and chain smoke .
I've said for years that every new car window sticker should have a pie chart showing how much of the cost goes to the UAW the gubment, the dealer and so on. Most people wouldn't believe it.

The quality isn't there for $50k.

No wonder the sales are down with an average score of 748 for previous buyers. That would take away 50%+ of applicants. Most folks ain’t got 700.
Who can afford a 80 000 dollar truck , as of late seems like Ford & other truck makers having a lot recalls
