I guess it won't be long till we start seeing $10k off. Sounds like they had them marked up way too high to begin with
I had a finance man at Macon Mitsubishi back in 04/05 who would ALWAYS start out running your deal through the secondary finance companies no matter what. See those banks/lenders had this under the table deal going with him that went something like " Send us say 10 primary (good credit) customers a month and we will approve 20 or so bad credit customers." And their rate for the good credit customers was usually close to the same rate as the bad . Of course this would piss off a lot of folks but he tried it anyway. It's like asking every chick at the bar to go home with you. Not to mention the cash the lenders were lining his pockets with.the "buy down" so to speak of the credit score is a slap in the face of those who have worked hard to obtain a higher score
Yeah I agree. I'm seeing way too many recalls across the board brand wise and major failures in very new models.I don't think the truck market is crashing. Everything is still crazy high! Maybe I'm just a tightwad and these prices I see are the new normal. An f150 you can drop over 100k, that's madness. The price is there, but the quality isn't there for 100k.
I always said to buy a new vehicle was temporary insanity......And I've bought my share of new ones. It's OK if you keep them a long time. Last new vehicle I bought was 21yrs ago and I'm still driving it. Since the 70s I knew this day would come. It took longer than I thought.I don't think the truck market is crashing. Yeah UAW people wouldn't get out of bed in the morning for $15.00 an hour. They make close to that when they're laid off. Seriously when they get laid off they STILL get half their pay AND unemployment as long as they show up to the designated spot a few days a week where they can drink free coffee play cards and chain smoke ."15 bucks an hour"?
Those are union jobs in this country. More than $15 just for the union overhead!

Even $25k would be iffy.......I'd rather put my money in a older more solid vehicleThe quality isn't there for $50k.
Who can afford a 80 000 dollar truck , as of late seems like Ford & other truck makers having a lot recallsNo wonder the sales are down with an average score of 748 for previous buyers. That would take away 50%+ of applicants. Most folks ain’t got 700.
