I hate to agree with you, but I do. My wife LOVES Toyotas (she's Japanese) and I love her Corolla Sport. We need a new, good American-made truck like they used to make them (minus the non-existent safety standards LOL): durable, long-lasting, and not so many darn electronics in it.

Buy an older truck!!! 32yrs and still going on the same daily driver

Most I ever paid for a new truck was $32k. So anything after that is too high. And that's a loaded diesel, 4x4, crew cab 2500. Last I checked, a few years ago was $90k+ to replace that truck

Another down side to the insane prices is I have to carry enough insurance on my 2010 F-150 to cover a $30,000 truck that someone paid $100,000 for.

Boats and trucks I never buy into someone else's problems. I put maybe 1500 miles a year on a vehicle so 9000 miles when it is paid off. So, I get a pretty good trade in value.
