The black headed Mexican buzzards are calf killers. They'll peck the calves eyes out while the cow is in labor. They'll also eat the azz out of a cow when she's down. I've even had them eat the hooves off calves. Kill'em all I won't say anything.
I had the same problem a few years ago. I tried banging pots, hitting the tree with a sledge. The solution is a class 3 laser shine at them just as they roost at dusk. Do this for a few days and they will find another roost. Laser available on Amazon.
