U.S. Palm AK Mags

Metal springs on metal mag. bodies have a high tendency to bind when sand , dirt, or other material finds its way into the body of the mag.

When guys who put 800-1000 (or in one case I know of, over 2000) rounds through their AK's over the course of a few days shooting in the rain & dropping the mags. in the mud tell me that the US-P's fail less than the metal mags., I have to defer to their experience.

I have not put that many rounds downrange in those conditions w/ my AK's but it sure sounds like a good time.

I'm SO looking forward to winter classes....

I'm not much for the AK pistol myself but I do like the way that you think...

Its small and allows me to stay mobile. I had a Draco back there but now I use the yugo pap pistol. Just gives me rifle power in a small package. Plus I've practiced enough that any threat near me does not stand a chance. Your vehicle won't help you :)

Just curious... how accurate is it at shots out to 25 yards?

I compromised & split the difference by going w/ a side-folder. I like the option of feeling confident in making a fairly quick precision shot under stress between 25-100 yds. although I recognize that a shot at that distance would be unlikely in a civilian context & since we don't reside near the Mexican border.
I emphasize to all of our students not to assume ANYTHING about a fight other than it probably won't be what you were expecting....

I've had no problems keeping them in a tea cup sized group which to me is more than enough. Sure it's good to have practice at over 25 yards but I practice more at distances under 25 as those will be my encounters. Plus I tend to practice from behind my door and behind my car. If I have to use the ak pistol... That's where I'll be.

Teacup sized groups at 25 yds. w/ an Ak pistol? That's pretty good accuracy.

I practice a decent amount at farther distances but do the majority of my pistol training at 0-5 yds. as I also expect trouble to be up close... despite my best efforts at recognizing it & avoiding it.
