Unemployed again

I feel your pain due to medical reason lost my career of 26 years. I started using the few skills I have like painting and grunt work. I've been blessed by the folks here giving me work. I've gave them 110% every job. It's been good money for me. I hope something comes up for you soon. Good luck
I could use a good handyman over here on the east side of town. Being a single dad, I just don't have time to keep up with all the little projects anymore.

Job security. If u have half a brain and work hard, you will stay in that position for a long time.
Any IT project management experience? They have been looking for an IT project manager for months as well.

My position was cut today, no notice and no severance. I'm going to try and remain positive and look for a new position. Last time, it took 18 months to find my last job, and it really sucked... I hope I can find a now one quickly.

I hear a lot of people claim they have been out of work for many months. My view:

There are LOTS of handyman opportunities available for entrepreneurs in Georgia. If you had a truck, some basic skills and were willing to work, you could get $25 an hour and work all the hours you wanted to work.

There are many low income and fixed income people that need small repairs done to their home. They cannot afford the big box guys. And, if you don't have the experience, Home Depot has classes in all kinds of how to stuff.

An elderly guy told me he had been working for $12.50 an hour for a year after being laid off from his job. He said he needed just one more year between being laid off and getting Socialist Security so someone offered him a part time gig cutting grass. He said it now occupies a lot of time to the point that he's making $550 a week pushing a lawnmower and trimming bushes, etc.

There is stuff out there to do if you just look in the right places.
