I've got what seems to be an unstamped A2 Style Upper receiver with M4 Cuts. Any ideas on how to identify the manufacturer?

interesting.....maybe either bm,rra, or a generic model 1 sales upper.
without any markings its pretty impossible im afraid, even with a forging mark you still dont know where it went after than conclusively

Really? Its old.. its got patina. Also, it has small size pin holes. Like smaller than the usual.
Need to post a pic. Some of the eary Colt M16 rifles had no forge marks in the same area as uppers do today.
The early A1 M16 uppers had their marks in the area above the front pivot lug if I remember correctly. I had sever of these years ago. Sometimes they are faint marks.
