UPDATED: A Marine in distress....

As the father of a war Veteran it always just tears my heart out when I see something like this, every single day TWENTY TWO Veterans take their own lives because of things us civilians will never be able to comprehend. Always, ALWAYS pray for these men and women who put their lives on the line so the rest of us can sleep in peace at night. ALWAYS!!!

PTSD, TBI, depression, panic & anxiety disorders. People really don't understand. They look at those going through it and say, "Why don't they just change the way they're thinking?" Many are walking a tightrope between keeping it together and having it fall apart. The breaking point can come from the most innocuous thing. And it may never end; a battle they continue with til the day they die.

The brain is one of the most complex organs in the body. Getting everything balanced is tough; therapy, psychiatry, meds, group meetings. It's not an exact science. No one would ever ask someone with a pacemaker to just control your heart rate. Or ask someone with hearing aids to loss to toss them and listen harder.

Glad this young man sought out help. Lost a veteran in Peachtree City last year who felt there was no other options. Never give up.
