UPS and I had a weird talk

The trucks have GPS, I'm sure they can match up where a box was scanned to where the trucks GPS was at that time.

UPS uses gps tracking on their trucks to identify stops. That way xrivers have to be within so many feet of delivery stop or the system flags them. Most likely they looked at driver log and identified error.

The goal is to resolve your issue as quickly as possible with the least amount of conversation. It's doing more with less people. Transportation is very competative in pricing and much under appreciated by the public. In many cases CSR's are instructed to not invite long conversations. If she/he had explained the GPS tracking the next thing said would have been, "if you know it was the wrong address, why did you leave it there." The real answer is, "I don't know, I'm not the driver" but saying that makes the caller mad, pro-longs the conversation, etc... Reach resolution, go to the next caller. Welcome to the world of I want my answers quick, I want the answers my way, and I don't want to pay much for the service.

The one that sucks more than FedEx is UPS. The one that sucks more than UPS is USPS. We get a fair amount of packages delivered to my house because I wanted a fairy tale marriage and I got it, I married Spenderella. Anyway, about 1/4 of our stuff goes to someone else in our subdivision. Pretty much if it says it was delivered and it is not at our house then we just walk around until we see it at the door of someone else.

just like the post office told a guy his letter delivered to my house.Unless it was a registered letter how would they know at the post office.Just some bull **** cause he had not mailed it yet.2 days later .........a miracle

Box gets scanned as it leaves the truck, and they cross reference that with GPS location that shows the truck was at the wrong spot. Those guys are wired seven ways from Sunday.

I had a box delivered to my house with my address that I didn't order. Had someone else s name on it and when I called FedEX they said they don't make mistakes. I think the address was a typo, but no one wanted to come pick the box up. I have an $1800 special machine cutting tool that was supposed to go to a machinist that apparently works for Boeing. I called the number on the packing list and no one seemed to care since the part had already been replaced. I also had a couple of boxes delivered here in the last year or so with the wrong address by UPS and they had no interest in picking them up to deliver to the correct address. I am not sure but it seems to happen more since they have gone to "smart post", dropping stuff off at the post office for final delivery.

I'd ebay the cutting tool
