URGENTLY SEEKING N95 MASKS for DOCTORS

ER nurse here, after working 5 of the last 6 nights, I went searching for PPE today. After visiting Home Depot and Walmart, I was able to find a few face shields and 2 pairs of goggles but no masks of any kind. I'm trying to secure a solid supply of PPE for myself and my wife (ICU nurse working in a COVID-19 unit) in the event that the hospital supply runs dry.

If anyone has any good leads, feel free to share (even the simple surgical masks provide a significant level of protection against cough/sneeze droplets and prevent you from accidentally touching your mouth/nose) here or by PM. Unfortunately staying home to stay healthy isn't an option for us.

i do maintenance at a healthcare facility......yall may wanna start checking your underpaid CNAs (or anyone with access to the supply room) bags as they go out. people are stealing everything like crazy at ours. the single ply tp, hand sanitizer, everything including ppe is mysteriously vanishing.

I use N95s when im sanding drywall mud.....i had to give all mine up to the DON in fear of theft (not for use, i was specifically told they don't want them to end up on ebay)

They would, but the cost of filters vs masks is prohibitively high. Also not acceptable to wear in the hospital currently. Public relations is a real thing...so much so that we were told that we must take down any pictures of us wearing PPE on social media (not that I even take pictures of myself or anything at work, out of an abundance of caution related to HIPAA). O.O

Yup they've been kept tightly under control for several weeks now, no N95s in the supply room, immediate termination if you take one home with you, and given out one at a time as needed.

After I asked that question I thought it was a PR issue. It is a sad time that you have to search for masks and PPE items at this time.

I know you are not the only one in Ga or the rest of the country looking for these items.

Hi all - this is not a joke.

My spouse is an emergency medicine physician working in the Emory Dekalb and Piedmont systems. The hospitals are running out of N95 masks for doctors, and everyone is being asked to get any protective gear from any source.

DO YOU HAVE ANY MASKS YOU CAN SELL or GIVE or DONATE or WHATEVER?

We will buy masks. Also, please consider donating masks to your local hospitals.

Check everyone's bags. Even Physicians. I personally know of two surgeons a few years ago who were caught red handed in the act of stealing equipment and supplies from small hospitals. They claimed they were "borrowing" disposable items for use in their personal clinics.

Docs aren't above stealing. Just like the ODT Brethen aren't above gouging.
