Why are we paying for such a ridiculous service in today's day and age with taxpayers money? I don't know about you, but I get very, very few actual pieces of mail today, the vast majority is junk mail, and it goes right in the recycle. My sister sends a card a couple times a year, but other than that, I get hardly any real mail.

On top of all that nonsense, they suck at actually delivering packages.

I have a package that was shipped from Easton PA via UPS on the 6th, it took less than a day to get it to Atlanta, and dropped off to the local USPS on the 6th. USPS didn't acknowledge they got it until the 9th, and its been "out for delivery" since then.

I mean can they suck any worse? I wish Trump had defunded the USPS.

They have been absolutely terrible since all the election mess. I've had 4 separate packages, all more than a week late with no updates since last Tuesday. Any time I call, they blame Covid issues. Something is definitely going on at the USPS. It's absolutely not normal or OK for 4 separate packages from different places shipped on different dates to all be delayed that long.

im not challenging you. have u thought that it actually arrived on the 9th? meaning it was in transit from 6th to 9th. It makes sense that if shipped on 6th, it arrives 9th. It is physically impossible to move that item to move less than a day to Atlanta. Just saying.

I have lots of experience in this field. and btw...junk mail...actually pays the usps quite a lot to be junk mail. without junk mail, mail service would be much more expensive

does this make sense?

New 600,000 unemployed would further screw up our already hyper-inflation-is-here economy.

(USPS employees 600,000 workers, not including most subcontractors)

Buy it for life goods. They will be an investment.

Looks to me like its not "physically impossible" The UPS facility in Easton, they put it on a plane and flew it to the UPS hub, took less than a day.

Yeah, I get that junk mail makes the USPS money, but frankly I wouldn't mind if the service changed completely, I don't need to get my (junk) mail every day, how about once a week, or twice a week and only send the stuff that is sent to me, keep the junk mail.

Does the government need to certify every letter it sends you? The same thing with adverts from capitalism? Seems like that would cost them more money, both the government and the corporations? Therefore, costing you more in taxes and well as the price of services/goods?

Here's one I'm waiting on still. Shipped Priority Mail and was supposed to arrive last Friday the 6th. No movement updates since 11/3. I opened a case, and a supervisor from USPS called me to tell me that I should just wait a few more days and ask the company I ordered from to send me another one.
