W. Virginia Senate passes constitutional carry bill with broad support

It is already lawful to open carry a firearm in the state of West Virginia without government-mandated permitting, training and a poll tax....

But denying and vetoing HB 4145 (68-31 win) is for public safety... Think of this baby!

Love it ! It's a shame that law enforcement who always fail to disarm criminals can still see disarming law abiding citizens as productive police work.

It took the house less than 24 hours to override the dipstick's veto. Onward to the senate who if true to their vote like the house will override it as well.

Mississippi appears to be next to pass similar legislation.

Governor Tomblin said at the news conference he vetoed the bill in the interest of officers' safety.

So… you may see this picture all over FB. The dude in the suit texting his boss is the Bloomberg lobbyist at the WV Senate session as the Governor’s veto has been overridden.
