True, sorry...I'd just hate to have it out on display. Bad odds.

I've seen on another forum somewhere a guy had a garand mounted on a peg board that was painted a od color and the peg board was framed with some nice looking wood. It all looked pretty good. There is also a guy on ebay that sells hand made wall hooks for mounting guns

IF I wanted to display my Garand in such fashion I believe I would build a metal case clad it in veneer and use layers of glass and plexiglass a good locking system and bolt it very very securely to the wall. Plus I would display a couple of loaded en bloc clips and a bandolier.
But having said that what I was seriously thinking about doing is building a case that resembles a Mosin Nagant crate into a coffee table and displaying a couple of Mosin Nagants with my Garand. Well and I would love to aquire a 1903 and a Mauser K98 as well.
