Walmart ammo availability thread - Post what you see available & where!

This may have been posted before, but here it goes the Walmart in Cumming and Dawsonville will only sell 1 box of any caliber that is in the case not 3 boxes as is Walmart's corporate policy, the store manager states (cumming location) that it is up to the individual store to set it's own rationing policy. All the other Walmart stores that I have been into will sell 3 boxes total single caliber or mixed just 3 total.

Walmart at 1785 Cobb Pkwy, across from Dobbins, has some Tula 7.62 in stock. Probably a dozen boxes on the shelf at lunch time.

I went in because the app showed they had Tula 223 in but found none on the shelf. Asked an employee who confirmed she should have 10 boxes of 223 in but couldn't find it in the back. Also made a comment several other boxes of ammunition were "missing". She was calling the manager as I was leaving empty handed.

Well I have been to a couple Walmarts lately where I know the had ammo the night before, but by 6:45 the ammo is gone. I was able to purchase some 9mm 100 round packs the other day at 6:40 am. They had 6 boxes just sitting out. A case has 5 packs so obviously there was atleast 2 cases and more than likely 3 cases having sold 3 other people their maximum amounts by the time I got there at 6:45. (15-9=6) So I was curious if I was the only person experiencing this?

So I've been at Walmart early when they actually open the cases and what is happening is Walmart is filling the cases with mixed ammo and filler paper. We opened a box of 9mm and it had 4 boxes of 9mm 50 rouunds, 2 boxes of 45, and 1 box of 22lr. That's bull!!!

If you look...they are not the manufacturers cases...they are Walmart boxes. They are splitting cases at the warehouse to allow more stores to get a couple boxes instead of one store getting the entire case. What's bull about that ?

Same as Jasper WM... The local shops were buying all the ammo at 3 boxes a time and marking the price up and selling in store.

Saw it with Bargin Barn first hand as well as a small pawn shop in Cumming......

Before you are too hard on the dealers that do this please realize they are having trouble getting ammo too. Right now demand is much larger than supply. Many distributors are either out or asking a fortune for it. Since Wal Mart is the largest firearms retailer in the country with tremendous buying power they are getting some ammo unlike mom and pop dealers.
For them no ammo and no firearms means no livelihood. That means you have to have stock to sell. When your back's against the wall you do what it takes to keep your customers coming in the door.
There's a huge difference between being a douche and trying to keep your shop doors open, lights on, and employees and bills paid.
