Walmart ammo availability thread - Post what you see available & where!

I went by my local Walmart yesterday because it said they had the Winchester 555 boxes in stock via the app. When I got there there were no boxes. I got an associate to check stock on their handheld scanner and the number wouldn't pull up. That was about 4. I checked the app again around 8 and it was out of stock.

dropped by a walmart this evening asked an assistant manager to check on a price of a item, did not tell him what. He follows me to the ammo cabinet reluctantly. Scans some bricks of 22lr " well what do you know looking over is shoulder 10 in stock you say.. "well that is not always right I can show you tons of stuff in groceries that are not right." I reply "we are not talking about a box of pop tarts walking off. They are here do you mind checking on the truck they are unloading in the back."..." I will look when they are done and bring it out if there is any". 30 min later love watching the manager come out with the ammo buggy, place stuff on the shelf just to turn around take it off the shelf and go check himself out right behind me all while working. And we wonder why the cabinet stays empty.

Dude I learned my lesson 4.5 years ago I am way ahead of the game you guys are loosing sleep over...

I thought you learned your lesson four and a half years ago??? What are you worried about if some manager buys all the ammo?

I too have experienced the so called Walmart ammunition shuffle. I have witnessed ammo go on the shelf only to be taken down and put back somewhere in the back of the store. I have also had issues where at both the Walmarts in Alpharetta ammunition show up on the scanners and then disappear after the employee goes to the back to look for it. I think we might want to let loose the News Media on them if they are willing to confront Walmart.

Same thing happened to me the other day. 9mm was showing in stock. I go and th assistant manager says we havent had any 9mm in stock for a month. She says maybe its on the truck coming that night and to check in the morning. I go back the next morning at 6:45 and there is only one box left. Wtf.

Ya the Walmart I was talking about was Alpharetta at Windward. Only reason I got one box is because another assistant manager searched all the hiding spots and found one hidden in a cabinet behind a printer.

no worries on my end but it would be nice if the actual customers that are there paying their salaries had a chance to actually make a purchase. Walmart employees
can shop on their time off just like we all do.

stockbridge on n henry had 9mm 100 rd packs about an hour ago. they had 10 555rd 22lr, he said they sold 9 of them before the box was off the cart. i got the last one.
