Walmart no longer can order ammo

My LEO agency actually had a TERRIBLE time getting range ammo the last time there was a panic buy. I pushed our order for this year up the chain in advance of the latest panic, but our armory is still pretty bare.

My point is that most distributors have LEO contracts that have to be filled as a priority before retail contracts. A LOT of LEO Agencies have seen the writing on the wall as far as availability goes for the next 9 months, and they pushed in larger than avereage orders earlier on in the year this go-round.

There may be some merit in the background of what the Walmart person was saying, even if the details are muddy.

I have been trying to get some ammo at walmart for weeks now but the campers at the counter waiting on the truck to unload everyday buy all of it when it comes in and turn around and resell it at huge profits. I dont mind someone making a buck but this is crazy.

Somehow, somewhere there is truth to what he was told. If it's a functioning auto order system then why are the shelves empty? Because the auto ORDERS are NOT being filled.
That being said, if the SHTF and we have to fight local law enforcement/military for our rights, then we just all go to walmart and buy up all their ammo, and the police/military will run out before we do...
