Alot of products are made specifically for Walmart. ie: Car audio head units, electronics, tools, etc.

When I was into the high power car stereos, I was told this by a representative from an audio manufacturer. Car audio and Electronics doesn't list the models that are sold by wallyworld in their products guide either, because that is the only place you will find them. Things might have changed since then:rolleyes2:.

I think the age old saying that Walmart only hires mentally disable and physically disabled as their main work force was proven this evening when I stopped at my local Wally world to get tires for my Camry. Factory tire size is 195/70/14 which they had in stock at 57$ per tire. Brand -Douglas extrac 2. Ok cool, but upon signing in I notice the same brand size 185/70/14 at 52$, I think wow I can save 20$ by shaving 10 cm of height! Now when I ask the desk man, a bewildered look comes over his face and he replies "that's not the size on your car". And I think "here's your sign"! So after multiple explanations as to why I want that tire to save money, the deskman and tire guy are still puzzled. So we get the manager involved, I explain the situation to her and she doesn't get it. Finally after a long heated discussion they install the 195/70/14 (the 57$) on my car and charge me for the 185/70/14(52$ per tire). No wonder our country is falling apart, all the government must have worked at Walmart. Retards!

This makes statement makes me wonder if they just look for employes that match their customer base.:doh::confused::doh::confused::doh:

Most of the tire changer, general service folks I've fired go to work for them. The word in the industry is they are closing their tire/lube centers. Too much liability, not enough profit. The saying is sales without profit is just liability

i got some uniroyal liberator for my truck at wm the time before last and im going back next time ,, the ones i got now are to soft and wearing out fast

I used to sell tires for a living and personally know two people who work for Michelin. i promise they are different.

I don't work for BFG/ Michelin but KNOW they sell the same tires I sell. No difference. But I've only worked in the industry for over 40 years. It might have changed since I closed my 10 bay shop @ 8 tonight

I bought tires for my Xterra from Walmart. I went up a size and without any of the above mentioned complications they installed them quickly and balanced them really well. Sorry you had a crappy experience.

My ODT name might give it away, Potenza is Japanese for performance, also bridgestone's performance line of tires
