Yeah, commanded to stop by a street thug waving a gun around.Its not like he tried to run over uniformed officers.they were dressed and acting like thugs,he didnt attempt to run over anyone, he was trying to get away from what he thought were street thugs carjacking him.and the cop that supposedly got hurt, funny how he managed to RUN three blocks to where the victim died.and Ayres was not the first person that Oxner has shot, he has a habit of stepping in front of vehicles so he has an excuse to shoot the driver. There are incidents that are unexceptable, and your average(read vast majority) of LEO do not condone that behavior.But we also don't condone the people we deal with each day, knowing that because we follow the rules most of them won't get caught today. Also heinous people get away with crimes everyday, but yet we don't hate every pro football player, or music teacher we come into contact with. Most of the time justice is served, other times it is not. One case does not prove the norm, and anyone that uses this kind reasoning has problems that will not be addresed properly on an Internet forum.LEOs are made of human beings, with the same weaknesses of every other person. If an LEO has no emotion and enforces laws without compassion he is called a robot. If he gets overly emotional and takes out the aggression brought on by what he has witnessed he is a thug with a propensity for violence. Somewhere in the middle is what most people look for in their LEO, and believe it or not that is what the vast majority of us strive for in our daily lives. Then again some people will hate any authority figure until they mature, some never do.

I guess because I know I am going to be polite courteous and forthright with the officer and do everything I can to make sure he is able to do his job with as much ease as possible.

I hate the fact that they can break any law and do anything they want and get away with it by the simple fact that they wear a badge.

I cant, so if I get stopped I start the video , roll the windows down, make sure they can see my hands and tell them which pocket Im going to be reaching into for my DL, I keep my answers as short as possible, and try to be as un-rememberable as possible, he will have to get his commendation/promotion for blowing someone else away, not me.

cops are only afraid of 2 things, cameras and lawyers.

and beat up and arrest people who cant be intimidated into turning them off?

the whole problem is not what they do, they are just people, I think everyone understands that people dont use good judgement sometimes, and other times you have to make split second judments.

The problem is that nothing, NOTHING ever happens to these officers.
they have zero consequences, to any of their actions, and they know it.

They know they can do anything they wish, beat up anyone, shoot anyone, lie in court, whatever, and nothing will ever happen to them.

That is wrong. Just wrong.
If cops would work to remove the cops that do these kinds of things from their departments, I could respect em, but instead, in almost every case that hits the news, they cover up for the bad cops.

Well now....Rodney King was a saint and the poor guy was doing nothing wrong. I guess it might be different if he resisted arrest, led the cops on a high speed chase across Los Angeles and then when he stopped, resisted even more. If he took 2 shots with a taser and got back up or refused to lay flat like he was instructed to do then I guess the police could have determined him a threat and used whatever force was necessary to subdue him. But, since poor ole Rodney wasn't doing anything wrong the police should have just let him be.

They were probably just harassing him when they caught him with a transvestite hooker and when they arrested him for domestic violence also. Those darn cops, they just can't leave poor ole Rodney alone.
